It was a fantastic time getting to show work at Filter Coffee in Hillcrest. For those not acquainted, Filter is a coffee shop in Hillcrest that regularly features local San Diego artists. I have now had the privilege to be featured twice. This time for my collection of Rondelles. Each Rondelle (wall hanging decrative plate) is made from a single transparent color and different shaping techniques were used to create color concentrations to add depth and texture to the pieces. It is always sad to take down an installation but I look forward to working with Filter in the next couple months and posting some new works there.
